Best Practices for Case Sharing
Sharing cases effectively and securely.
This is the most important rule. Before sharing any case, you must remove all personally identifiable information (PII) of the patient. This includes name, date of birth, medical record numbers, and any other unique identifiers.
Structure your case clearly. Include relevant history, examination findings, investigation results, and your specific question for the community. The clearer your post, the better the feedback you will receive.
A picture is worth a thousand words. Ensure any images (radiographs, clinical photos, etc.) are clear, well-lit, and directly relevant to the case. Anonymize any embedded patient data in images as well.
Respond to comments and questions from your peers. Acknowledge helpful insights and provide updates on the case if possible. This fosters a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
When sharing a case from the "Share a Case" page, our AI analyzes your description to suggest the most relevant communities. Using these suggestions increases the chances of your case being seen by the right experts.
